Mandatory invoice requirement change to EU

Dear customer,

Please be informed that the European Union (EU) is strengthening safety & security at customs through its information system “Import Control System 2 (ICS2)”. All goods being shipped to the EU¹ by air must include a six-digit Harmonized System (HS) code effective immediately. The proper HS codes for all items in the shipment should be displayed clearly on the invoice to reduce potential shipment delays.

¹ The EU countries include: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
